We got another new guy few days ago joined our little group in our story. He is a storywriter in our company and i tell yah i love the way his brain works. The moment he got into our little group our story and concepts are dractically changed. (for good i mean)
Anyhow he gave me a wonderfull idea of a mecha design that got me hooked and as a result gave a sleepless night for the past few days thinking of the design and idea.
A little on how the pilot system for our story just to give a clear idea for our story. In my story the pilots are called as 'Handlers' and the other one are 'Manipulators'.
Handlers - Not everyone can be a handler, to become a handler, a candidate must go through a serum of nanotech injection to adjust his body so he is able to control the mech. During the process for the serum to adjust your body usually only weild 2 kind of result, the first one which is the candidate's body successfully adapts to the serum and thus qualifying as a handler and will be sent for training. The second result is really not so pleasent as the body rejects the serums, the candidates brain is also degenerated due to the side effect of the serum rejection, leaving your well ... retartded. So candidates will have to face such risk to become a handler.
Manipulator - In a few rare cases of Candidates body will not only accept the serum but also will cause a strain of mutation that enable them to pilot a more unique class of mecha that has the ability change accordingly to the pilot style of fighting/ behavior/ character. Usually manipulator are automatically given high pose as their mech are more powerfull than the standards one.
Another thing is each handler and manipulator mech are encoded with a special genetic reader than only recongnize the corresponing handler and only allows him/ her to pilot the mech. So it means stealing a mech in story is very very hard since once the genetic code is encoded there is no way to remove at all. And if the handler dies so does the mech.
Okay so that is that. Our mech here is an Imperial Templar mech a.ka. GMU M2 - Version 'Duel Knight' that belongs to the House of Eldorar.
Standard weapons are a Medium Weight Autocannon, A Plasma Lancer with a built in Shot Cannon and six racks of Anti Infantry Pulse Lasers.
